We are looking to add an experienced
Millwork Project Manager to our crew.

This person will be responsible for the full life cycle of a millwork project, and has the skillset to demonstrate coordination, organization, communication, and execution of their assigned projects.

This is a full-time permanent position. Compensation is competitive with benefits after 3 months probation. We offer a great working environment that supports professional and personal development.

MILLWORK PROJECT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Safety

  • Hazard identification.
  • Implementation of controls (engineering, administrative, PPE).
  • Adherence to all PSC safety protocols, procedures, and programs.
  • Incident, injury, near miss investigation.
  • Creation and contribution to the safety culture in Millwork Shop.

Quality

  • Engineering, Architecture, Design specification compliance.
  • Shop Standards adherence.
  • Adherence to all PSC quality protocol and standards.

Schedule

  • Understanding, adherence, and improvement to the original estimated schedule.
  • Creation of schedule in a project scheduling program (Procore).
  • Live continual project schedule updates (including change orders).
  • Forecasting of upcoming tasks.
  • Organization of all subcontractors, and project stakeholders throughout project.
  • Adherence and creation of milestone dates.
  • Organization, guidance, and efficiency for shop workforce.
  • 35 day look ahead for scheduling of workforce.
  • Communication of schedule to PSC Shop Management for resource allocation.

Cost

  • Understanding of budget/estimate in terms of costs with equipment, labour, materials, subcontractors, suppliers.
  • Responsible for all cost inputs on a project (i.e. hours, costs, subtrades).
  • Maintaining accurate costs to date.
  • Liaise with PSC accounting through project for reporting requirements.
  • Ability to pull reports and interpret all line items on the estimate throughout the duration of the project.
  • Negotiate change orders as per the terms of the contract.
  • Administer change orders on the project (to Client, PSC Accounting, labour/power, Suppliers, Subcontractors)
  • Explain/comment on each project cost and ability to audit costs as needed.
  • Final sign off on all invoices before they go to the client.
  • Sign off on payables for a project, before payment is made to the suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Assist with A/R collection from clients.

  • Completion, control, and proper communication of the aforementioned in a professional yet PSC type of way.

PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Positive leadership skills.

  • Dispute resolution skills and experience.

  • Computer skills.
  • Interested in business development.
  • Experience with budgets, finances, and accounting.

$80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
