    GHD has openings for Intermediate/Senior Building Mechanical Engineers in our Markham office.

    The position will support a wide variety of projects involving code consulting, system design/evaluation, fire modeling, etc., Provide design, calculations, and technical support for the layout of plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems in retrofit or new projects.

    # Complete engineering studies and assessments with accompanying reports.
    # Convert markups into working CAD or Revit MEP drawings.
    # Compile and prepare specifications relevant to each project.
    # Manage deadlines, lead coordination efforts with other disciplines or consultants, and oversee the quality of deliverables.
    # Review shop drawings and reply to requests for information submitted by contractors during the construction phase.
    # Prepare change notices, change orders, and payment certificates as part of contract administration during construction.
    # Conduct site surveys during investigative/design phases and complete routine site reviews during construction.
    # Professional Engineer licensed in Ontario. Eligibility to practice in Quebec is an asset.
    ~8-10 years of experience in the design of plumbing and drainage, HVAC, fire protection, and BAS systems.
    ~ Strong knowledge of HVAC control systems.
    ~ Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.
    ~ Good working knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
    ~ Ability to manage multiple projects.
    ~ Proficiency in French is advantageous.

    Junior Engineers may also be encouraged to apply for the same role but at different job levels based on experience.
