Position Information:

This position is for the Nephrology Outpatient Program at the Riverside Campus. Travel will be required to visit Satellite Dialysis Units.


Rotation/Shifts:

Days, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements:


  • Master's in Social Work with a clinical concentration from a university of recognized standing;
  • Member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers;
  • Experience working in a hospital setting particularly with chronic illness;
  • Ability to provide both group and individual counseling;
  • Ability to perform research;
  • Excellent assessment and crisis intervention skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of community resources and the placement process;
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory standards regarding the provision of health services;
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary setting;
  • Superior written, verbal and presentation skills;
  • Ability to multitask;
  • Superior interpersonal skills;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with nephrology patients and their families;
  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
