Based in Canada and reporting to the Executive Vice-President of the Group Benefits and Retirement Solutions (GBRS), the
_Vice-President, Sales_ is accountable for Group Insurance, Group Savings & Retirement - Capital Accumulation Products (CAP) and Single Premium Insured Annuities (SPIA).

In this role, you will lead and develop a world class National Group Insurance and Group Saving & Retirement Account Executive team.

You will also lead the team in business development planning and instrumental in executing our market plans.


More specifically, the Vice-President:


  • Is an active and valued member of the GBRS executive team.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of the GBRS business strategies.
  • Is responsible for developing and maintaining a national strategy for our distribution channels (Aggregators, Brokers and Consultants).
  • Actively fosters strong relationships with Founders, CEOs, Senior Executives and panCanadian leadership teams within all distribution channels for the GBRS sector.
  • Negotiates arrangements with the various distribution channels to place the sector in a preferred position with them.
  • Regularly meets with senior leaders within our client organizations to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Acts as the Executive Sponsor to develop and reinforce positive relationships with several key client organizations.
  • Maintains an industry profile with competitors, vendors and key partners.
  • Can create partner networks that support growth and support teams in achieving results.
  • Sponsors and organizes semiannual conferences for their teams plus leaders from complementary disciplines in GBRS.
  • Works closely with the VP Client Experience and Marketing, GBRS in developing the strategies for serving all Group Benefits & Retirement Savings clients and their plan members.
  • Participates in Steering Committees and decisionmaking processes with respect to the leadership of the sector.
  • Is responsible for their teams' professional development through the promotion and implementation and concrete actions related to development and career management.

Required Profile

  • Recognized university education in management/administration or a relevant field, graduatelevel training is an asset
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in group insurance and group savings & retirement and experience in sales, including 10 years in management
  • Demonstrates the abilities of an experienced leader who has achieved results in terms of growth
  • Written and verbal fluency in English and French (asset)
  • Excellent understanding of business development and service issues
  • Extremely customer serviceoriented
  • Demonstrates consistent leadership using the Lean philosophy
  • Encourages teamwork and a culture of meritocracy
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Action
