Description

As a Carpenter, you are directly responsible for carrying out the job from start to finish. You must have the ability to work with a team, as well as independently. The Carpenter must be able to work under pressure, and meet required deadlines, on a wide variety of projects.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Assist a journeyman carpenter with construction and remodeling projects
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
Prepare layouts conforming to building codes, using measuring tools
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
Perform various carpentry duties
Use hand and power tools daily
Ensures appropriate safety requirements are met at all times

Qualifications & Education

Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
Extensive knowledge of power tools
Knowledge of lumber grades and countertop materials
Capable of climbing on ladders and carrying at least 50 pounds
Willingness to work overtime, when necessary, to deliver the project on time
Highly resourceful teamplayer, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
Valid Driver's License
