**Financial Analyst

  • Full Time**Campbellford Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team on a fulltime basis.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Prepare routine journal entries, monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliations
  • Support the creation and preparation of the annual budgets
  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support as required
  • Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results and variance reporting
  • Prepare key Ministry financial and statistical documents for submission
  • Reconcile and record transactions for capital assets and deferred grants
  • Provide analytical and project support to management
  • Develop reports and models for decision support
  • Prepare annual audit working papers
  • Assist with the maintenance, identification, monitoring and implementation of internal controls
  • Maintain relevant Accounting and Reporting knowledge to keep abreast of current requirements
  • Provide superior customer service to partner agencies and provide information to external clients such as the Corporation's Auditors and the Ministry of Health
  • Demonstrate positive attitude toward fellow employees, patients, patients' families, and the public
  • Compliance with Hospital policies, procedures and training requirements for maintaining a healthy and safe workplace
  • Demonstrate commitment to the hospital's philosophies, goals and objectives.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:


  • 3 year Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
years accounting and financial work experience (including budget and forecast preparation)


Skills & Abilities:


  • A high attention to detail is required
  • Strong Accounting, Finance, and Analytical skills
  • A selfstarter with demonstrated ability to prioritize workflow and meet conflicting deadlines in a fast paced and high volume environment
  • Exhibits high levels of integrity on a daily basis.
  • A team player, with excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (eg Excel)
  • Clear ability to operate independently and use good judgement
  • Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain same standard

Preferred:


  • Formal Accounting designation, or close to finalizing a formal professional accounting designation
  • Experience with MIS/OHRS guidelines and Ministry Reporting
  • Experience in a healthcare financial module (ie EPIC, Virtuo, Microsoft GP)
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to develop and provide educational training to management
  • Experience with costing models
