We are seeking a Forecasting & Analytics Specialist who can dive into the data and come back with actionable insights that will move our business forward.

This is a key role within the ENMAX Energy Services team, is responsible for building complex forecasting models, creating and maintaining dashboards, and running strategic analyses to inform business decisions.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for creating and maintaining the commodity margin forecast, ensuring the timely delivery of the Monthly Retail Forecast(s) and financial impact thereof.
  • Construct forecasting models for various data sources, building on and improving current forecasting processes (experience with Databricks considered an asset)
  • Support applied analytics initiatives that are used across the breadth of our data solutions.
  • Utilize relevant metrics, financial forecasting, reporting, and other data sources to provide recommendations to support Energy Services business decisions.
  • Actively participate in cross functional work groups to provide reporting and analytics on Retail business activities and performance.
  • Develop adhoc analysis projects that are high quality and that must be provided on a short turnaround schedule.
  • Prepare scenario planning deliverables based on the evolving corporate strategy.
  • Liaise with Risk for monthly forecasts including analysis of volume and margin.
  • Prepare profitability analysis for the various sales channels and products within Energy Services.
  • Help create, monitor, and measure Energy Services Key Performance Indicators.

Education Required:

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or other related field.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 7+ years' experience performing analytics, reporting, and forecasting. Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to tell stories with complex data and create charts, graphs and dashboards to present insight effectively. Experience with Databricks, Power BI, Excel, Power Automateor other related software Knowledgeable in programming languages such as Python & SQL

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify and convey complex topics to nontechnical executives.
  • Be comfortable working in a fastpaced environment with strong personality types. Be able to manage conflicting interests, and everchanging priorities while staying focused.
  • Wellorganized and able to deliver results with mínimal supervision.

Location:

This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB).

You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
