As aProject Manager, Electrical and Mechanical Technology, you will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling design and construction projects, studies, and tasks to meet short-term, medium-term and life-cycle
building requirements primarily related to electrical and other systems including mechanical, systems associated with all the Canadian museum of history (CMH) and the Canadian War museum (CWM) properties; advising the Facility Management staff once he/she has determined the requirements needed for electrical and mechanical systems, equipment and resources to meet existing and new Capital requirements as well as operational and preventive maintenance issues; and performs other related duties.

Relevant experience in:
- Project management in any building system design discipline in all phases of development as well as operations and maintenance in an aging building environment;
- Resolution of complex design or technical issues;
- Managing engineering consultants and construction contractors;
- Managing financial resources;
- Negotiations;
- Working from sketches, oral or written instructions;
- Solving on the spot problems with various parties by making informed decisions involving considerable latitude;
- Managing projects having diverse and conflicting objectives, difficult budgetary and scheduling constraints.
Knowledge of:
- General principals of project management;
- Building codes and regulations;
- Industry standards and practices in contacting with various professionals;
- Mechanical and electrical building systems.
Education:
College Diploma in electrical technology or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Compensation:
E6 ($ 71,173 to $ 88,080)
Status:
Permanent Full-Time Position (# 10000)
