    Description

    Basic Function

    The Lubricants and Specialties Senior Director, Global Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in supply chain management, procurement, and operations. The Senior Director of Global Supply Chain will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement supply chain strategies that drive efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability.

    Job Duties

  • Develop and execute global supply chain strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers
  • Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals to orchestrate the transformation of the global supply chain to a world class maturity state
  • Develop and implement a vision and roadmap that uses future processes and tools to creating a connected and automated supply chain across HFLS
  • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning / Integrated Business Planning
  • Implement best practices in inventory management, demand planning, and production scheduling to meet customer demand and minimize lead times
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to optimize supply chain efficiency and reliability
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and manufacturing, to align supply chain strategies with business objectives
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and technologies to drive innovation and competitiveness in the supply chain. Ensure the supply chain complies to all regulations
  • Drive sustainability initiatives across the supply chain to reduce environmental impact and promote responsible sourcing practices

    • Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

    Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years in a commercial industrial business with 10 years of supply chain management experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of successfully optimizing supply chain operations and driving cost savings
  • Experience in the lubricants or chemical industry operations would be an asset

    • Education

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or a related field
  • Master's degree in a related field would be an asset

    • Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with supply chain planning tools and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and talent management

    • Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

  • Direct Management of up to 6 professionals, indirect responsibility for total workforce of ~250, including salaried, hourly and represented employees

    • Work Conditions

    Office based with up to 50% travel by land and air required. Manufacturing and refining environment including but not limited to fumes or airborne particles. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions.

    Physical Requirements

    Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid state driver's license and proof of insurance required, perceiving color differences, and wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted). Job conditions may require twisting, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
