Five Star Building Services is growing

We are looking for a full-time permanent Strata Building Manager, for our Burnaby location. The schedule for this position is
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am till 4:00 pm.


As our Strata Building Manager, you'll be the linchpin of our operations, ensuring that our residential strata building runs like a well-oiled machine.

No two days will be the same as you dive into a role that's as diverse as it is rewarding.

From coordinating maintenance tasks to providing top-notch customer service, you'll be the face of Five Star, embodying our commitment to excellence in every interaction.

What will be your duties:


  • Provide stellar customer service to our residents, going above and beyond to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with our Strata Property Manager and management team, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
  • Proactively identify maintenance needs and take swift action to address them, ensuring our building remains in top condition.
  • Perform regular maintenance and repair of the property including but not limited to changing light bulbs, painting, minor drywall repair, patch walls, basic electrical, and understanding of HVAC.
  • Handle administrative tasks with finesse, from managing schedules to handling payments and deposits.
  • Respond promptly to onsite emergencies, demonstrating grace under pressure and a commitment to safety.
  • Oversee tradespeople and contractors, ensuring that all work is completed to our exacting standards.
  • Operate security systems and conduct regular inspections, safeguarding our residents and property.

What You Bring:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a knack for problemsolving.
  • Any handson experience with repairs, renovation or construction is an asset.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and respond to emergencies outside of standard
- work hours.

  • Pool certificate or must be willing to take courses.
  • A positive attitude, a passion for teamwork, and a willingness to learn and grow.

  • 2 years' experience as a Building Manager, or in Building Maintenance or Building Administrative is preferred. Experience in strata management or facilities maintenance. Even better
