Responsibilities:


  • Clean exterior and interior of aircraft in a timely manner and in compliance with procedures provided for in company manuals and in accordance with company standards.
  • Vacuum aircraft interior, polish aircraft, clean seats, lavatory, and flight deck.
  • Wash exterior, dry, and remove carbon and scratches.
  • Deep clean carpet as required.
  • Machine polish brightwork, paint, and sealants.
  • Participate in scheduling heavy maintenance grooming activities.
  • Service aircraft lavatory and water service.
  • Perform daily inspections and pre/post flight activities.
  • Ensure the work area is cleared of all grooming equipment before the plane departs.
  • Properly clean hangar floor and hangar area after completing each job/aircraft.
  • Assist with laundry, cleaning and organizing of storage areas, and cleaning and organizing of company vehicles.

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • High school diploma, with one year of detailing experience or related role. Previous work experience or training in aviation is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and interpersonal skills that strengthen intercompany communications and relations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required to plan work assignments and meet simultaneous schedules and tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of airline, aircraft detailing and ground handling procedures as they relate to aviation services.
  • Selfmotivated
  • Able to work independently with mínimal supervision.

  • Strong understanding of airline, aircraft detailing and ground handling procedures as they relate to aviation services.
  • Strong understanding of the tools and equipment involved in detailing aircraft and detecting potential problems.
  • Mature, professional judgement and welldefined conflict resolution skills in handling sensitive situations with tact, diplomacy, and high ethical standards.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Sound problem solving, decisionmaking, analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects and tasks and execute effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Strong selfleadership skills and a handson, selfmotivated, and demonstrated positive, cando attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize, multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to support, strengthen and enhance safety initiatives.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the following:
  • Provincial class 5 driver's license.
  • Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP).
  • Radio License.

Typical Physical and Cognitive Demands

  • Majority of work is completed at in the hangar or on the ramp.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, days, evenings and weekends.
  • Occasional overtime and on call shifts may be required
  • Able to meet deadlines in a fastpaced work environment.
  • Must quickly adapt to changing assignments.
  • Required to act professionally and use mature judgment.
  • Physically fit, able to safely undertake physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to safely move and provide varied ground services to aircraft and equipment.
  • Ability to work on elevated work platforms.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ground and/or air travel required.
This position is represented by the Teamsters Local 395 bargaining unit.
