Position and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include administration of the site radiation protection program (external and internal dosimetry, scheduling of lung counts, radiation hazards, respirator program, contamination control, and ALARA). You ensure compliance with all radiological standards and procedures at the refinery by conducting daily inspections, reviewing monitoring standards and procedures, and carrying out investigations and reporting functions to ensure the site meets the requirements of Cameco's health physics programs and the guidelines specified by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
You will assist radiation technologists with the collection and maintenance of radiation results and assess employee working conditions pertaining to the safety of workers.
