Effective April 1, 2024 the salary range for this position is $71,563 to $100,052 per year in compliance with AMAPCEO collective agreement provisions. The new rates, effective retroactive to April 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined.

What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role, you will:
- provide financial management, program and financial analysis services of current and proposed housing programs
- prepare and/or verify payments
- provide information, advice, responses and collaboration with municipal service managers, the federal government, and counterparts in other ministries
- support the development of program management databases and information management tools
How do I qualify?:
Financial Management, Budgeting, Reporting, and Analytical Skills:
- You can review financial reports on major issues.
- You can provide comprehensive analyses and advice on financial controllership policies and procedures.
- You have the ability to assess business problems and develop remedial and strategic solutions for implementation.
- You can determine whether the ministry's accounting objectives are being met.
Financial Knowledge:
- You have excellent knowledge of financial planning, accounting and reporting processes, including resource allocation and planning, to monitor the division's financial transactions and processes.
Technical Skills:
- You can access data, and prepare reports, spreadsheets, and financial statements.
Communication, Interpersonal, and Conflict Resolution Skills:
- You can provide sound and workable technical guidance to financial staff.
- You can build and maintain relations with business partners.
- You can meet with program managers and senior management to provide advice on dealing with challenging matters and to assist in developing plans and solutions.
