- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for reporting
- Support management in maintaining compliance with corporate program expectations and laws
- Perform risk assessments related to job tasks and new equipment introductions
- Recommend risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics
- Be available for flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for professional use
- Experience maintaining confidentiality in security and personnel matters at work
- One of the following prerequisites:
- A minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) field
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant EHS discipline
- 6 months of experience in a safety-related role at Amazon
- Background in worker's compensation case management
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a safety-related field
- Strong skills in communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus
- Experience in leading and managing teams, analyzing accident data, evaluating new processes and machinery for safety concerns, and conducting job hazard and safety analyses
- Proficiency in emergency response and possession of current First Aid and CPR certifications

Amazon is in search of a full-time WHS Specialist (WHSS) to act as a dedicated representative for their assigned facility, overseeing and executing all aspects of the Amazon Global Program under the guidance of leadership.
The WHSS plays a crucial role in fostering a positive culture, upholding Amazon standards, and ensuring a secure work environment. This involves delivering training sessions and mentoring associates on observed work practices.
The WHSS is tasked with maintaining precise daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for reporting to on-site management teams and corporate reporting systems.
Furthermore, the WHSS supports management endeavors to guarantee compliance with corporate Program standards and relevant federal & state regulations. They also carry out risk assessments concerning job tasks (Job Hazard Analysis) and the introduction of new equipment. Additionally, the WHSS is responsible for suggesting appropriate risk mitigation strategies to management, encompassing ergonomics. The ideal candidate must be open to working various shifts based on availability.
