Landscape Labourer
Ghent Landscape is currently seeking labourers to join our garden crew.

Suitable team members are motivated individuals that enjoy working outdoors on a daily basis and are comfortable using various landscape tools.

Year round employment is available as a member of our winter maintenance team.


Salary:
$19-$24/hr, dependent on experience


Benefits:

Available after probationary period, RRSP matching available after 1 year


Responsibilities

  • Work is available as a labourer on a garden crew to maintain garden beds and plants
  • Interact with clients and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Communicate with supervisor to ensure job satisfaction is achieved
  • Ensure compliance with company health and safety training and reporting requirements
  • Required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Valid G license is an asset, transportation to our shop at 1633 Snyder's Rd E in Petersburg is required
  • Responsible to provide own CSA approved safety boots
  • Must be willing to work 4050 hours per week and some weekends depending on work load
  • Other duties will be assigned as required

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in landscaping is a strong asset
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Must be safety conscious
  • Skill to troubleshoot solutions when problems arise
  • Excellent team player
  • Great communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills
  • Must be punctual and personable
  • Must obtain WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety Awareness training

Salary:
$19.00-$24.00 per hour
