    Salary Range:
    $110,000 to $206,000

    (commensurate with experience)


    The City of Toronto's Legal Services Division is seeking two lawyers to join its team who will provide advice and conduct prosecutions under the Provincial Offences Act.

    In this role, you will represent the City before various levels of court and administrative tribunals in matters relating to a diverse range of issues and offences.

    While both positions require that you conduct prosecutions, one of the positions also involves providing advice and work on the collection of outstanding Provincial Offences Act fines.


    The ideal candidates will have several years' relevant experience in the prosecution or defense of regulatory or criminal offences before the Ontario Court of Justice and/or the Superior Court of Justice.

    The candidate for the collection/ prosecution hybrid position must also have knowledge and experience in the area of collections.

    You must possess sound judgement and excellent written, oral advocacy and negotiation skills, and be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

    Computer literacy is required.

    Successful applicants may be eligible to join the OMERS pension plan as of their hire date and qualify for the City's comprehensive benefits plans.
