Key Activities and Responsibilities:


  • Identify, and develop strategies to support the growth of IPL assets
  • At the request of commercial or other internal groups, confirm the capacity of existing assets and identify potential modifications or upgrades to increase capacity or profitability
  • Review project designs to identify potential growth opportunities, provide technical guidance to team members, and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the project
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, addressing their concerns, and keeping them informed about project progress
  • Liaise with various stakeholders throughout the company to identify and champion solutions
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards and quality
  • Mentor and coach members of the team by setting a positive tone for communication and collaboration within the department and with other departments

Education, Skills & Experience

  • An engineering degree and registration with APEGA as a Professional Engineer are essential for this position.
  • The Supervisor typically has 1015 years of industry experience
  • Experience leading a team
  • Demonstrated project management skills (planning, cost and scope tracking and reporting)
  • Knowledgeable in current operating standards, codes, rules and regulations that relate to pipeline operations and associated equipment
  • Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the pipeline industry is a strong asset

Hours:

8 hours/day, Monday - Friday. Occasional travel to site locations is required.
