Are you looking for an opportunity to work in the Events and Entertainment Industry in a casual capacity based on your own availability? We are looking for customer focused and flexible individuals who can be available to work during a wide variety of events throughout the year.


As the Merchandise Representative, you will assist in executing the handling and sale of artist merchandise in venues managed by Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL).

You will achieve these goals by greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner, delivering on their merchandising needs, processing purchases with the POS with guest credit/debit cards, maintaining accurate cash handling, and maintaining an organized and visually appealing merchandise display.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assisting customers with merchandise purchasing decisions by sharing merchandise information such as pricing and sizing.
  • Maximizing all sales opportunities during the transaction process through additional product offerings.
  • Adhering to payment processing procedures at a point of sale in the venue both cash and debit/credit card purchases.
  • Perform inventory control by counting all merchandise for both pre and post event.
  • Remaining friendly and attentive to the needs of all guests and provide superior customer service to all internal and external clients.
  • Performing other duties as allocated.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in guests/customer service in forwardfacing industries is considered an asset.
  • Cash handling experience is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift using proper lifting techniques.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and interpersonal skills and diplomacy with the public.
  • Strong observational skills to proactively identify guest needs, have full knowledge of merchandise procedures, services, and facility locations (staff will be trained in these areas).
  • Contribute to a highenergy, fastpaced environment that provides guests with an entertaining, fun, and dynamic experience.
  • Consistently arrive to work on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
  • Note that this position is an inscope position under the RWDSU Collective Agreement. Shift start & stop times and scheduled days may be adjusted during course of employment, based on operational requirements.
