Position Summary:


Reporting to the Director, Communications, the Manager, Corporate Communications supports the strategic planning, development and execution of employee communications and experience.

The incumbent will engage with partners throughout the business to define organizational needs and develop creative and clear communication strategies and campaigns for targeted stakeholders.

The Manager will develop key strategies and will thoughtfully execute tactics to ensure the roll out of clear communications, measuring success and revising process as needed.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Run strategic employee experience and communications programs from planning through to implementation including providing handson support while handling resources, timelines and deliverables from other team members
  • Develop employee communications for Executive Team members, selecting the appropriate communications channels within the organization and ensuring social branding
  • Employee newsletter management and editing, as well as the development of key metrics and KPIs to ensure market reach
  • Forge a strong working alliance with the HR Senior Leadership team to help inspire change through employee program innovation and communications.
  • Work closely with the HR team to design and develop campaign calendars and program communications including calendaring and data reporting and insights
  • Cross functional project SME for all Airport projects, such as the Regional Transit Centre build or the In-Field Terminal activation
  • Strategic development of Tier 1 corporate Communications Campaigns from conception to delivery, to support the strategy and core narratives of Toronto Pearson
  • Ensure end to end communications project management, ensuring the approvals process and project deliverables are met in a timely manner
  • Facilitate communication campaigns with internal partners and develop a consistent planning and campaign management process
  • Communications marketing oversight for all internal channels, including but not limited to; intranet, PNN screens, Yammer, print and digital, and all digital employee channels
  • Lead employee crisis communications, working with the Media and Issues Management team to ensure that the employees of Toronto Pearson are well informed during crisis situations
  • Responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of all Employee Communications Crisis SOPs and Protocols
  • Lead people by driving strategic development and clarity on how the work contributes to the overall vision supporting personal and career growth
  • Influence by helping people navigate the organization to remove obstacles, barriers and create collaboration opportunities
  • Implement flawlessly by clearly defining what expectations and success looks like to foster a positive, healthy and safe work environment, in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations
  • Continually monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness and impact of employee communications strategies and brand messaging

Qualifications:


  • Master's Degree preferred or an Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing or relevant work experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience supporting complex operational environments in Communication with over 3 years of direct marketing experience
  • International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in People Management (direct report or crossfunctional)
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer centric environment
  • Able to acquire and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position
