Position Summary:


Reporting to the Revenue Billing Supervisor, the employee is encouraged to work independently in capturing billing information and generating invoices for aeronautical and non-aeronautical billings as well as implementing changes to policies and procedures established by management.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Prepare billing records for issuance of biweekly commercial aircraft invoices and monthly general aviation billings
  • Review, match and correct various source documents and extract pertinent data required to initialize a regular billing cycle
  • Add/delete/modify the data in flight tracking system in order to reflect the flight movement information required to initialize billings
  • Contact internal and external sources for missing information required to complete aeronautical records to meet billing timelines
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding billing discrepancies and/or rates and charges
  • Verify and process invoice adjustments as advised by clients and management ensuring the accuracy of information
  • Data enter utility meter readings for electrical and water billings
  • Recommend process and policy improvements
  • Implement changes to internal procedures
  • Process nonaeronautical billings
  • Other related duties which include maintaining and filing revenue documents and preparing documents for distribution to clients, management, and auditors

Qualifications:


  • Must have completed a Secondary School Diploma
  • Proven track record of practical accounting experience, with emphasis on revenue billings
  • Ability to multitask in order to stay organized with multiple deadlines and deliverables
  • Ability to adapt and learn changing technologies, tools, and processes
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer centric environment
  • Able to acquire and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of airline/airport industry
  • Familiar with database software such as Discoverer and Access
  • Knowledge of accounting practices, specifically in relation to revenue billings
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Ability to interpret such sources as IATA Airline Coding Directory, JP Airline Fleet book and other related sources of information
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
  • Required to be tactful and be able to handle situations diplomatically when dealing with both internal and external clients
The GTAA is a federally regulated private sector. The Government of Canada has suspended mandatory vaccination requirement for federally regulated transportation sector workers.

The GTAA continues to monitor government and health developments relating to COVID -19 and may re-introduce the Vaccination and proof of Vaccination requirements in the Policy at any time.
