RCC is looking for a
Coordinator, Sponsorship based in Toronto (GTA) reporting to the Director, Sponsorship.

***Under the direction of the Director, Sponsorship, the incumbent will be responsible for administrative support and assisting the Director, Sponsorship, and team. In this role you will be responsible for performing various account management services and act as a direct liaison to our clients, and internal teams daily. To succeed in this position, you must be able to learn quickly and jump in without being asked, have extreme attention to detail, superb communication skills, and a "can-do" attitude, as well as be prepared to support where necessary.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage all potential new sponsors and advertisers in membership.
  • Send membership renewal reminders and process membership for the supplier community as needed.
  • Assist in developing prospect lists for lead generation for exhibitor and sponsorship participation.
  • Draft highquality documents to support selling efforts that easily demonstrate options and benefits to potential exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers.
  • Update RCC websites with current event opportunities for each event.
  • Assist with the development of proposals aimed at securing new exhibitors and sponsors.
  • Prepare contracts for participation by exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers.
  • Take responsibility for securing exhibitors and the coordination of the exhibitor space at events.
  • Coordinate with event producers to ensure that all sponsors are properly represented at events.
  • Monitor the status of current sponsorships and advertisers to ensure that all commitments are met by both parties.
  • Prepare post event fulfillment reports for exhibitors and sponsors to demonstrate the ROI.

Other

  • Provide input and recommendations to improve daytoday operations within the sponsorship department, as well as provide feedback to other departments.
  • Other general administration duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to work independently on projects as well as collaboratively with team members.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to handle complaints in a professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently across various channels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and writing skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate across crossfunctional teams.
  • Must be able to travel to coordinate and attend sponsorship development meetings and events.
  • Must have excellent project management skills and capable of producing a high volume of quality work, within tight timelines.
  • Must have proven creative thinking and problemsolving ability.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point required; contact management database experience an asset.
  • Demonstrated innovation and creativity in the form of continuous improvement to internal processes.
  • Flexibility to work long hours as evening and weekend work is required during peak times.

Assets

  • Sales, negotiation, and telemarketing experience.
  • Knowledge of the retail industry an asset.
  • Experience in association work an asset.
  • Working knowledge of graphic designs and image formats ,.eps,.ai).
  • Bilingual (English / French)

Education

  • University Degree/Bachelor's level in Sales, Business, Association Management, Marketing/Communications, or equivalent.

Experience

  • 3+ years experience in association businesses, focusing on sales, business development, communications, marketing, or equivalent.
