    Job Description

    We are presently hiring an Analyst within our Expense Operations, Corporate Services, Technology & Operations team for a 1 year contract (benefits included). The Analyst will report to the Associate of Expense Operations and will be responsible for end-to-end expense processing at CPP Investments, which includes accurately and timely processing of invoices, assessing and recording intercompany transactions between legal entities, act as an effective partner to support the organization with expense processing and assist with month-end accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting operation experience, strong communication, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a high performing team within a fast-paced environment.

    This is a dynamic role that works closely with other members of the Expense Operations team and collaborates with internal departments within CPP Investments.

    Role-Specific Accountabilities:

    • Responsible for overseeing the centralized global vendor payments for investment-related expenses for the CPP Investments in accordance with policies and procedures
    • Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of investment related invoices as per company policy and standards
    • Assist stakeholders on expense-related matters; respond to stakeholder and auditor queries on a timely basis
    • Process month-end/quarter-end/year-end journal entries, intercompany transactions and reconciliations
    • Assist and support project and initiatives relating to expense processing, as required
    • Participates in the creation and execution of new procedures and controls to ensure compliance with company policies
    • Performs other duties as assigned or as the role evolves due to new processes, procedures and technology implementation
    Qualifications
    • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business or equivalent, with a professional accounting designation preferred
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related role, preferably in corporate or investment finance
    • Solid Microsoft Excel skills and other Microsoft Office applications; aptitude and interest in learning new software applications
    • Excellent attention to detail and consistently high levels of accuracy
    • A team player with strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to readily adapt to a rapidly changing investment business and technology environment
