    Senior Analyst, Expense Operations

    On behalf of our client in the Professional Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Senior Analyst, Expense Operations.

    Senior Analyst, Expense Operations – Job Description

    • Support the daily operations of the centralized global expense processing and payments for client Investments in accordance with policies and procedures. This includes the review/approval of vendor invoices, employee expenses and expense related adjustment entries.
    • Responsible for payment and other cash management activities for our global offices. This includes timely payment processing as per local payment rules for each jurisdiction, bank opening, bank authority update, cash forecast as well as the coordination of excess cash handling
    • Manage general ledger accounting functions, including Accounts Payable subledger close, variance analysis, the preparation and/or review of journal entries, reconciliations of general ledger balances as well as bank reconciliation.
    • Work with Finance groups to provide supporting analysis/documents/inputs into month-end close, tax filing, management reporting, and financial reporting
    • Proactively identify, enhance and develop new accounting processes. Drive process improvements with a broad view of building scalable and efficient processes taking into consideration industry best practices.
    • Assist stakeholders on expense-related matters; respond to stakeholder and auditor queries on a timely basis
    • Promote the use and understanding of accounts payable policies, systems and procedures to the team and other stakeholders across the organization, including the development of training materials
    • Update of the key control process documentation (SOP documents) to ensure controls are operating as intended.
    • Proactively identifies opportunities for streamlining accounts payable processes and recommends solutions
    • Performs other duties as assigned or as the role evolves due to new processes, procedures and technology implementation
    • Partner collaboratively with finance and other internal stakeholders to resolve cross-functional issues and gaps. Propose and implement solutions that reflect an understanding of business needs, organizational impact and governance and controls.

    Senior Analyst, Expense Operations – Mandatory Skills

    • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business or equivalent, with a professional accounting designation preferred.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in a related role, preferably in Corporate Accounting.
    • Committed to continuous improvement with view of building scalable and standardized processes within a robust control environment.
    • Solid interpersonal skills suited for a professional and thoughtful corporate environment.
    • Solid oral and written communication skills.
    • Solid Microsoft Excel skills and other Microsoft Office applications; aptitude and interest in learning new software applications.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to the think through problems, assess a variety of factors, and recommend solutions.
    • Build and foster relationships with key business partners across the organization.
    • Exceptional time management and project prioritization skills. Ability to work under time sensitive deadlines and adjust to urgent situations.
    • Experience with Oracle Financials general ledger is an asset.
    • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a high performing culture, open to and comfortable with evolving changes and new challenges.
    • Exemplifies our Guiding Principles of partnership, integrity and high performance.
