Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Inside Sales and Development, this position supports Sales at TerraLink by leading a team of Inside Sales Representatives who take and process product orders and advise clients on the suitability of products for their growing environment.

Positions reporting to the Inside Sales Representative
Seven to ten Inside Sales Representatives report to this position.

Responsibilities

The Supervisor participates in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management for the assigned team, and is responsible for scheduling employees to ensure adequate coverage and approving timecards on ADP.

This position provides input to and monitors the department budget.[GU1]

In addition, this position performs all the duties of an Inside Sales Representative:

Reviewing and correcting pricing errors
Reviewing open orders and resolving them when required.
Monitoring inventory
Coordinating shipments with dispatch/warehouse.
May have assigned accounts

This position works at a workstation or standing at the counter for up to eight hours per day.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities and Other required

Highly developed ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing in English.
Highly Organized, able to recognize and prioritize issues to ensure excellent time management, adaptable.
A BSc in an Agriculturalrelated area is required for this position.
A minimum of Certified Crop Advisor is required for this position, with support to achieve TAg or Pag certification.
Other certificates required include: Pest Applicator, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, and WHMIS2015.

Working Conditions

The job is performed under standard office conditions for over 90% of the work but may involve meeting warehouse staff or participating in field assignments for development purposes.

During peak selling periods in the spring and fall this position will process a high volume of customer orders and inquiries.
