The incumbent will report to Transportation Coordinator.Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Safe, effective and efficient operation of heavy construction equipment;
- Understand and follow Sunshine Oilsands Ltd. and supplier maintenance guidelines for each piece of equipment to achieve optimum efficiency;
- Verify and top up liquid refills;
- Ensure all equipment are fueled and ready for work;
- Exhibit initiative and responsibility as well as understanding of the capabilities of equipment;
- Knowledge, skill and ability to operate equipment safely and able to avoid accidents;
- Promote safety awareness;
- Other duties as required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET:
- Minimum of 3 years of industry related experience;
- Ability/trained to haul condensate;
- First Aid Certification;
- H2S Certification;
- Strong analytical skills, capable of resolving problems independently;
- Ability to work and contribute in a team environment;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Possess a valid Class 1 driver's license (Driver's Abstract is required);
- Ability to operation both standard shift and automatic vehicle;
- Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
Job Type:
Fixed term contract
Salary:
$40.00-$50.00 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
Experience:
- oil hauling: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 1 driving license (required)
