Cleaner/Janitor Needed

Domus Building Cleaning Ltd. is looking for qualified
Heavy-Duty Cleaners for positions located within the
Kanata Area**. Domus has been in operation for over 50 years with more than 500 employees in multiple provinces and has an excellent reputation as a janitorial services provider.


Competitive Wage Rate of $17.20 per hour to start.

These positions are both Full-Time and Part-Time, Monday to Friday at various shift schedules.

Security checks of various types may be required.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Must be knowledgeable in floor scrubbing and burnish floors
  • Clean assigned areas by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing floor surfaces in assigned areas by use of mechanized cleaning equipment wherever required
  • Collect and dispose of trash in garbage containers on a regular basis
  • Operate carpet machines of various types
  • Spot clean walls, ceilings, partitions, light switches and doors, window sills
  • Wipe and sanitize all public utilities such as public phones, furniture, and door handles
  • Food Court experience or post construction cleanup a plus
  • Cleaning the washroom, sanitizing, mopping, and restocking of supplies
  • Follow preset policies, guidelines, and rules to maintain a safe working environment
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required
