Description

Oakley Sub Assembly is a JIT sequencer of wheel and tire assemblies with multiple locations in Ontario and the United States.

In Oshawa, Oakley will be providing assemblies for GM Trucks.


This position has a 1st and 2nd shift rotating schedule every two weeks. The Maintenance Supervisor will be expected to occasionally work past their normally scheduled hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.


Summary/Objective


The maintenance supervisor position is a role with strong leadership skills, plans, organizes and troubleshoots plant operations and manages the maintenance department.

The position supervises a team of maintenance technicians.


Essential Functions

  • Ensures that production machinery and plant equipment is maintained and operational for safe use.
  • Analyze downtime information and provide feedback to Management Review meetings. Implement changes to decrease downtime and quality issues.
  • Maintains and effective and efficient PM system by scheduling PM work and monitoring the daily logs and PM schedules for completion.
  • Orders supplies/parts as needed in addition to maintaining and organized spare parts inventory.
  • Assigns daily job and/or project assignments. Plans for P.M. and various projects during periods of downtime.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of maintenance trends and products including investigating new technology.
  • Maintains calibration logs to make sure all part codes are calibrated and documented.
  • Work with quality control through various projects and assignments.
  • Maintain and implement lock-outs and safety procedures.
  • Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Six years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and industrial skills. Preferred experience with PLC and robotics.
  • An apprenticeship program certificate and/or associate's degree in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office is preferred.

Pay:
$38.00-$43.00 per hour
