At Vancouver Talmud Torah, we provide a stimulating and challenging educational environment infused with meaningful learning experiences. Our school serves families from a diverse range of Jewish backgrounds and religious practices.

We are hiring an Educational Aide to work in the mornings, one on one, with a student and in the afternoons in a grade one classroom from May - June of 2023.

Our faculty are an integral part of our school community. Vancouver Talmud Torah provides the opportunity to work in a collaborative, innovative and engaging educational setting. We are committed to ongoing professional development and mentorship. Our school offers a culture that values academic excellence, community, inclusivity and social responsibility.

Qualifications:

Experience or training working with children with special education needs.
Experience working in a school setting.
Formal education/training is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to the following:

Work with students with learning needs in an inclusive classroom setting as well as on an individual or small group basis
Maintain student records, follow IEP recommendations, and review strategies
Prepare additional resources and materials to support students with learning differences
Work with classroom teachers to help them understand the needs of students
