_RAY OF HOPE is currently seeking a PROGRAM MANAGER for our Youth Support Services Program. In this role you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of all treatment services for the Live-In Treatment facility. You will participate in hiring, orientations, ongoing training and performance management with the Program Director. There will be responsibility for budget and spending, and clinical supervision. You will work closely with family and community partners to ensure an exceptional level of participant centered care is provided for our youth._
Overview


This is the management role which oversees the day-to-day delivery of all treatment services for the Live-In treatment program, working closely with the program director to uphold and promote all directives from ROH leadership.

The incumbent participates in staff hiring, orientation, on-going training and performance management in close consultation with the program director.

The manager oversees all program delivery, including responsibility for managing budgets & spending, and clinical supervision within assigned program area and other areas of YSS as needed.

The program manager provides some direct clinical service to participants in the form of counselling/psychotherapy and case management as needed.

This role includes providing family and supports with regular updates and feedback pertaining to their youth's treatment and stay in program.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Administration_
  • Manage scheduling, and ensure schedules are appropriate, as well as prepared and distributed in a timely manner
  • Ensure the physical property and vehicles are well maintained, and are clean and safe to use
  • Manage program spending, including the purchasing of food & others supplies, the management of petty cash and management of participants personal needs money
  • Respond to staff and participant requests and crises in a responsible, timely and flexible manner, in consultation with the program director; and ensure the development and implementation of appropriate, personcentred responses occurs
  • Complete administrative and supervisory documentation in a timely & professional manner
  • Maintain good working relationships with other agencies, service providers and volunteers who are part of providing excellent service to participants and their families
  • May be required to prepare and present public education and prevention presentations related to substance use for youth, families and other professionals
  • May be required to represent YSS at public, educational or Ministry meetings
  • Implement related learning and professional development plans as discussed with program director
  • Clinical_
  • Participate in assessing the appropriateness of prospective participants for services, treatment, and provide recommendations to the treatment team and program director
  • Ensure appropriate parent coaching and counseling for each youth in the program occurs, up to and including actively encouraging or participating as necessary
  • Provide clinical supervision, which includes overseeing and coaching of support staff in the development and implementation of program activities and individual interventions relevant to the needs of participants
  • Provide as needed individual treatment to participants (e.g., step work, crisis deescalation, mediation, trauma)
  • Professional Development_
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities and engage in reciprocal relationships of learning with colleagues to stay current in the field
  • Participate in regular supervision individually or team formats
  • Implement related learning and professional development plans as discussed with Program Director
  • Maintain continuing education requirements, on own initiative and in conjunction with organizational resources where available
General Program Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the process of assessing the appropriateness of prospective participants with the Case Management Coordinator, and provide recommendations to YAW's and program director
  • Take the lead in parent coaching and counseling for each youth in the program
  • Participate in the hiring process for all subordinate staff, and provide administrative supervision, including orientation, performance evaluations, and corrective actions in accordance with ROH and YSS policies and procedures
  • Participate in the student placement selection process and provide administrative & clinical supervision to students
  • Create and review appropriate shift related tasks and responsibility lists
