Bethesda's Children's services requires one (1) Full-Time Learning and Development Coordinator.Working to promote Bethesda's values, vision and mission statement and promote a high standard of quality client care.
The Learning and Development Coordinator will facilitate the new staff orientation process and design and/or deliver staff development opportunities across all Children's Services programs.
The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and completing staff program evaluations, supporting Learning and/or Performance Improvement Plans and scheduling mandatory training activities.
Some of the key responsibilities of this position will be:- Provide coaching and support to all staff (individual and group services)
- Facilitate the new staff orientation process(clinical and administrative)
- Assess the skill level, performance and competence of staff utilizing program evaluation documents
- Monitor, schedule and conduct yearly staff evaluations
- Administer feedback forms for training activities and prepare quarterly reports to summarize the results and make recommendations for improvements to the training process
- Coordinate monthly Lunch and Learn activities
- Complete quarterly binder review checklists
- Develop and facilitate staff training activities
- Monitor due dates and schedule staff for mandatory training activities
- Communicate with managers when skill levels are not met
- Generate positive attitudes and high morale in employees by nurturing a culture of cooperation and the enthusiasm
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Human Behaviour and/or Developmental Psychology or College diploma and an Autism and Behavioural Sciences Certificate
- Board Certified Assistant Behavioural Analyst (BCaBA) or Board Certified Behavioural Analyst (BCBA) preferred
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with stakeholders
- Advanced written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of learning
- Knowledge of motivational, perceptual, and emotional forces and how they affect the learning process
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach, evaluate, and improve others
- Excellent listening, observation, and questioning skills
- Demonstrated customer service mindset and time management skills
- Demonstrated problemsolving, analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- A strong attendance is mandatory and a clean disciplinary record is required
- Bilingual in French is an asset
