The Vice President Wealth Management is a new leadership role focused on the strategic development and coordination of Co-operators practice management, wholesaling, market-positioning, distribution and mutual fund technology.

You will define and execute on the strategic vision for wealth management business ensuring acquisition and development of wealth capabilities to build on existing tools and talent with successful delivery of key success metrics.

As a key member of the distribution management leadership team you will collaborate with business leaders across the organization.


How you will create impact:


  • Build a strategy to drive client growth and retention and expansion with a focus on enhancing capabilities in practice management involving mutual funds, seg funds, annuities, wholesaling, gotomarket tools, distribution, and technology.
  • Optimize and manage distribution process, channels and salesforce models for wealth products including development for line of sight on key success metrics ensuring a highlevel roadmap to achieving success.
  • Influence and integrate Addenda portfolios and build wholesaling expertise to support sales force success.
  • Show change leadership fostering cooperation defining the marketing mix, priorites and solutions to support salesforce integration for wealth management insights and outcomes.
  • Continuously assess and identify gaps in technology capabilities to increase speed and effectiveness of execution.
  • Participate as a key leadership member of the distribution management team developing and executing strategy and collaborating with distribution and manufacturing leaders to develop growth targets ensuring overall profitable growth.
  • Develop partnerships and relationships with client organizations, industry associations, vendor partners and distribution sources to build capabilities and understand marketplace challenges and opportunities.
  • Lead a management team in establishing challenging targets and objectives. Foster engagement and drive a strong performancebased culture through effective coaching and performance management practices which recognize and reward desired behaviours.

  • You role model the cooperative values, encourage the development of your leaders and build high performing teams to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

To join our team:


  • 10+ years leadership experience with financial product distribution, mutual fund wholesale and practice management.
  • Deep knowledge of the wealth technology environment including industry trends in customer experience and advisor sales support technologies.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering against sustainable strategic plans to successfully drive profitability.
  • Post Secondary Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or Mathematics.
  • Mutual Fund License, Life License, CFA, CIM.
