NewAge is looking for a Controller to join our Accounting & Finance team. Reporting to the V.P.

Finance, this position performs financial analysis and reconciliation duties related to preparation of the monthly financial statements and external reporting requirements.

Duties Include:

Participate in the development of and support the company's strategic plans
Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures
Communicate financial metrics to senior management
Oversee the operations of the accounting department
Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transactionprocessing operations, and policies and procedures
Ensure timely and accurate month end and year end closing
Compile and analyze monthly financial reporting packages
Ensures that all government filings are completed in a timely manner.
Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting team members
Maintains bank reporting & relationship
Liaison between NewAge and Accounting Firm
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

8+ years of progressive experience, ideally within a similar industry
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
Accounting designation (CMA, CGA, CA or CPA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Knowledge in Canada and US taxation (Corporate & Sales)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented and able to work under pressure.
Proven supervisory abilities motivating and building a team
Outstanding analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Selfmotivated and selfdirected
Ability to work closely with a senior management team
Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
