Position Summary
Reporting to:
Corporate Controller
Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct the daytoday finance functions, monitoring effectiveness of processes and implementing improvements as required
- Lead, organize, and direct the finance team personnel
- Monthly preparation and analysis of financial report appropriate for executives, shareholders, and banks
- Guide the general ledger structure and direct specific accounting treatment of transactions
- Maintain various reporting metrics to guide strategic decision making
- Conduct business analysis or project based analysis to support the decision making of other operating units and executives (e.g. project post mortems)
- Work with the sales and operations teams to provide analytical support and assist with process improvements
- Provide support in the creation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, cash flow forecasts
- Ensure timely reporting to various taxation and registration authorities (government compliance, etc.)
- Manage information required of insurers to maintain appropriate coverage
- Oversee cash management including the various currencies
- Assist with ERP implementation
Key Attributes & Qualifications
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA or equivalent) in a senior accountant or manager role
- Reliable team player, with demonstrated willingness and ability to learn and collaborate
- Highly motivated with an ability to problem solve
- Detailoriented and well organized
- Preference will be given to those with experience using Accpac, Epicor or similar accounting software and with a manufacturing background
