Position Summary

Reporting to:
Corporate Controller


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct the daytoday finance functions, monitoring effectiveness of processes and implementing improvements as required
  • Lead, organize, and direct the finance team personnel
  • Monthly preparation and analysis of financial report appropriate for executives, shareholders, and banks
  • Guide the general ledger structure and direct specific accounting treatment of transactions
  • Maintain various reporting metrics to guide strategic decision making
  • Conduct business analysis or project based analysis to support the decision making of other operating units and executives (e.g. project post mortems)
  • Work with the sales and operations teams to provide analytical support and assist with process improvements
  • Provide support in the creation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, cash flow forecasts
  • Ensure timely reporting to various taxation and registration authorities (government compliance, etc.)
  • Manage information required of insurers to maintain appropriate coverage
  • Oversee cash management including the various currencies
  • Assist with ERP implementation

Key Attributes & Qualifications

  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA or equivalent) in a senior accountant or manager role
  • Reliable team player, with demonstrated willingness and ability to learn and collaborate
  • Highly motivated with an ability to problem solve
  • Detailoriented and well organized
  • Preference will be given to those with experience using Accpac, Epicor or similar accounting software and with a manufacturing background
