Youth Program Coordinator

BGC St.

Alban's Club is seeking a dynamic individual to join our outstanding team to develop, support and direct programs to youth and young adults at our main club house.

The Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for program development and oversight for all youth programs at BGC St. Alban's including the Youth Hub and summer camp programs.


Key responsibilities:


  • The development, promotion, delivery, supervision and evaluation of the youth program encompassing recreational (i.e. skill development, leagues, interclub, competitive etc.) life skills, education, technology, and social development programs, (i.e. asset building, homework assistance, employment readiness, mentoring, etc.) and summer camps for youth and young adults.
  • Facility, equipment and capital asset supervision and management.
  • Community development, parent groups and liaise with other service organizations.
  • Recruitment and outreach for youth participants within the community.
  • Create administrative reports to be delivered to the Director of Operations.
  • Manage, supervise, and train youth program staff members.
  • Maintain professional relationships with peers, members, volunteers, parents, and other club members.
  • Willingness to work evening shifts and occasional weekend days for special events.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experiences:


  • Management level supervision for at least 2 years.
  • At least 2 years of experience in providing supervision, training workshops, and program development to youth.
  • Experience with data collection, program evaluation and online documentation
  • Experience with online registration software such as Amelia
  • Knowledge of/or experience using youth or adult training/learning strategies
  • Experience working with diverse populations in various settings
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Successful grant writing experience
  • BGC (Boys and Girls Club) or similar organizational experience
  • Valid driver's license (F Class Preferred)
  • Current First-Aid and CPR-C certifications
  • HIGH FIVE PHCD and Quest II certifications
  • Search Institute asset training or experience
  • Must consent to submit a vulnerable sector police check
  • Covid19 Vaccination
