The Special Projects Manager is a key resource within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), responsible for the identification, design and implementation of a designated portfolio of high-priority academic and co-curricular projects in support of the overall goals and objectives of FASS.

The Manager provides leadership and support to advance on academic, community-engaged learning, interdisciplinary and experiential/pedagogical projects, ensuring the achievement of quality standards, timelines, deliverables and risk mitigation.

The role manages all phases of the project life cycle, from project planning, development to implementation, leading the delivery of regular project updates and communications.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Humanities or Social Sciences or a related discipline and four years related experience in managing projects; developing communication strategies; business case development; risk management; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
