Who We Are:
We are a non-profit organization centered in Nova Scotia that assists and advocates for persons with a disability.

SSG strives to provide the supports necessary for members to live in the community, maintain personal choice and control, and enhance their quality of life.


What We Are looking For:

A caring, respectful individual who is

  • Looking to develop strong relationships with the members they are supporting
  • Looking to nurture the member's confidence and independence to allow them to participate fully in our community
  • Able to provide personal care and assist members with aspects of daily living such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, bathing, and grocery shopping
  • Interested in planning leisure and recreational activities for members
  • Flexible with working a variety of shifts such as morning, afternoon, overnight, & weekend shifts

Requirements:


  • First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • Clean Criminal Record Check
  • Proof of Full Vaccination Against COVID1
  • Weekend availability

Salary:


  • Upon hire, salary will be $16.17$17.76/hr
  • After 3month probationary period, salary will increase to $19.40/hr if working at least 20 hours/week
  • Paid Training

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff and clients are fully vaccinated. All PPE's are provided. Voluntary rapid self-tests are available in the workplace.
