Overview


In this position, you will be responsible for project investigation, reporting, specification preparation, quality observation, and liaising with clients, contractors, and manufacturers.

You must be able to manage multiple projects involving various scopes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.


Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate and conduct prebid, prestart, progress, and final project site meetings.
  • Collect field data required for the preparation of repair specifications, drawings, and tendering.
  • Prepare technical specifications for roofing remediation projects.
  • Provide support in the completion of design tender documents.
  • Review drawings and specifications to verify that the scope of work if sufficient and to ensure that all required details, materials, methods, etc. are correctly specified.
  • Assist with roof inspections, design investigations, and roof design.
  • Participate in design review meetings for roofing, waterproofing and building envelope.
  • Review project submittals and shop drawings to verify compliance with project specifications and drawings.
  • Perform quality observations of work in progress to ensure compliance with tender documents and applicable codes and standards.
  • Ongoing project management and contract administration of multiple projects at a time.
  • Provide technical assistance to field technicians and technologists.
  • Coordinate all input for time billing and job costing.
  • Other assigned duties and tasks, as required.

Required Experience, Education and Certifications

  • Completion of a postsecondary degree or diploma in an applicable or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience the field of roofing and project management.
  • Indepth knowledge of different roofing and construction systems.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

Physical Demands, Overtime, and Travel Requirements
Physical Demands - Work is performed both in an office setting and at outside locations (i.e. industrial, construction and/or residential sites).

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk on sloped and flat roofs, sit, climb ladders, bend, climb inside attics, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to client sites or job sites.

Working at heights, including accessing buildings by ladders, swing stages, and mechanical lifts will be necessary. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary.

The employee must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting inspections, speaking, and interacting with clients, preparing drawings and written reports.


Overtime - There will be some occasions where overtime (or working after normal business hours) will be required to meet the demands of the position.

Travel - This position requires up to 80% local area travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
