- Collaborating with R&D and Product teams to actively participate in the design and development of new product initiatives.
- Setting prices for new product initiatives, ensuring adherence to all risk management policies and procedures.
- Utilizing actuarial models for deterministic or stochastic analyses, as necessary, to ensure products meet internal profitability standards.
- Providing actuarial and product expertise to key business partners and senior management at various levels by clearly, concisely, and accurately presenting results or addressing inquiries on product attributes and pricing.
- Offering guidance on modeling and product development procedures to fellow actuarial team members.
- Engaging in cross-functional collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds (technical to non-technical; actuarial to non-actuarial).
- Ensuring that work complies with internal Governance requirements such as PD&P, MEUC, etc.
- Demonstrating leadership by comprehending and supporting constantly evolving priorities to align with broader business goals and strategic aims of a dynamic organization.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant actuarial work experience.
- FSA, FCIA, FIA, or equivalent career experience.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the capability to explain technical, complex concepts in a clear, comprehensive manner to all audiences (technical and non-technical).
- Adept at interacting with various business partners across different geographic locations.
- Capable of working independently within a cross-geographical team.
- Deep commitment to client service. Due to the international scope of the business, occasional meetings outside regular business hours may be necessary.
- Proficient in discussing the design and modeling of variance insurance products in detail.
- Innovative mindset.
- Skilled in managing and contributing to multiple initiatives while meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience in modeling with Pathwise.
