PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Reporting to the BSYS Director, this position has a dual role. The position supports the business for incidents / service requests and coordinates change request / projects. Oversee, monitor, and control the entire software development lifecycle process for annual operational projects.

Competency/proficiency in the business processes using the technology. Cover and provide comprehensive support to additional organizations and other allied healthcare organizations in the Local Health Network.

Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate with all stakeholders including business, cross functional team, third party consultants to make sure all project and support activities run smooth.

Suggest best practices, ideas, thoughts, solutions to business to bridge the gaps, leverage business performance and streamline the business process.

Provide expert support on escalation matters what helpdesk contacts us for our area of expertise.

This role is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the KHSC's/MMC's strategy.

The role must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES INCLUDE:


  • Operational support
- troubleshooting and analyzing business systems service requests and issues, leading the resolution process with the business and appropriate technical resources

  • Software Development Life cycle/ Change Management
  • Upgrade/ Patches
  • Upgrade and maintain the business systems versions on yearly basis and as per n1 model in terms of SAP upgrade projects.
  • Keep current in latest business system technologies to leverage best practices in the industry, learning, research. Provide ideas, thoughts, suggestions, best practices adhering latest business technology to leverage business performance and streamline business process.
  • This role mentors and coaches the business end users on procedures, policies, processes leveraging the new and current technology. Met with business users and assist them in preparing the job
- aides to perform their regular tasks in optimized way. Perform self
- training; participate in cross training, on-site training

  • SAP, GHX, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University
  • Business Administration
  • 5year business experience within supply chain systems (7+ years preferred)
  • Broad understanding of supply chain systems
  • Broad understanding of organization specific supply chain policies and procedures to ensure systems comply in the processing of information
  • Computer software proficiency for data analysis (spreadsheet, database management and ERP).
  • Effective analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Proven ability to research, analyze and interpret information
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective time management skills
  • Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload
  • Good teamwork skills


  • Regulatory compliance knowledge

  • Broader public sector guidelines, provincial and federal legislation
  • Specialized knowledge in ERP systems and the system development life cycle methodology. Specifically in the fields of Procurement (Materials Management)


  • Technical skills

  • Advanced computer software proficiency (word processing, spreadsheet, flowcharting, and database management).
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly.
  • Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required.
