Position Summary:

Manager, Service & Commissioning:

The Test & Commissioning Specialist (Controls - Argus / CMP) is responsible for test & commissioning services of Conviron equipment in accordance with the requirements of each individual project.

Consistent with Conviron' s Installations Mandate, the job of the Test & Commissioning Specialist is not done until our clients are growing confidently.

The Test & Commissioning Specialist delivers on Conviron's commitments by testing & commissioning, controlled environment equipment
on-specification,
on-time, and
on-budget.



Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Performs test & commissioning services of Conviron equipment control systems (Argus / CMP) remotely or at various client sites (North America or internationally)
  • Diagnoses technical problems, primarily associated with Control Systems, and determines appropriate actions
  • Performs costbenefit analysis of solutions for effective cost control
  • Takes required action to resolve installer / client concerns (including ordering and shipping of required parts), through to successful completion and followup / verification
  • Provides regular control systems (Argus / CMP) updates & training to clients in the operation and maintenance of Conviron products
  • Supports internal customers, such as Installations and Sales, by resolving various technical and client issues
  • Manages situations as they arise and proactively initiates actions to ensure that important issues are dealt with before they become critical
  • Maintains up to date client database, and all documentation in accordance with ISO procedures:
  • Records client calls, incident details and steps taken in resolution computerized database
  • Updates client and product information
  • Remains current on new developments and changes in product (Argus / CMP) and market conditions
  • Demonstrates personal conduct consistent with Conviron's Code of Conduct at all times, including while at client sites and working with colleagues, other trades and our clients
  • Complies with ISO 9001 work instructions
  • Travel to client sites a required
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Selfmotivated and detail oriented with the ability to multitask, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines while working under pressure
  • Must be able to travel as required

Desired Education and Experience:


  • Experience and understanding of Argus Controls would be a definite asset.
  • Experience and understanding of the dynamics of, and work with, PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers) and GUI (Graphic User Interfaces)
  • A technical background or education would be considered an asset.
