Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports ("Linck" or the "Agency") requires two (2) Child Protection Case Aides. These are contract positions working 35 hours per week, beginning in May 2024, and lasting 8 weeks.

The incumbent(s) will observe and shadow ongoing child protection workers.

They will participate in supervised and monitored access visits; take children and families to community activities and appointments; attend low risk visits to client homes; look up resources and copy materials for the child protection workers to use with clients on a variety of topics; complete forms and letters in draft form for Child Protection Workers; and other duties as required to support the work of Child Protection Workers.


Qualifications:


  • Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment pergrant funding requirements;
  • Lived experience as a recipient of child protection services would be considered an asset;
  • Attainment of, or progression towards postsecondary education of a bachelor of social work (bsw), master of social work (msw), or a bachelor (honours) in a related field of study;
  • Ability and willingness to work as an integral member of a team;
  • Good oral and written communication skills;
- strong time management skills;

  • The ability to communicate in french is an asset;
  • Preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages and traditions;
  • A commitment to developing the highest quality culturallyappropriate service possible for the various communities that we serve; and
  • A valid driver's license
