We are looking for an
Assistant Manager to support our Relationship Centre (aka contact centre), located in Nanaimo with Remote working flexibility so if you're passionate about improving financial health for our members; with proven experience in coaching, leadership while embracing our vision, values, purpose and practices, we'd like to hear from you


What's the role?


As an
Assistant Manager, you will provide leadership, coaching and support to develop the Relationship Centre Team to deliver exceptional member/client service through a variety of emerging multi-channels.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Relationship Centre through efficient and effective real time support for team members; as well as staying on top of day to day operations and reporting areas of efficiencies to the Relationship Centre Manager.


What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma requiring 34 years of fulltime study or have an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • 69 years of progressive financial experience;
  • 34 years of progressive lending experience with lending limits;
  • Advanced understanding of lending policies and procedures;
  • Thorough understanding of credit union operations, principles, and values.
Ideally, you are a flexible, collaborative team player with:

  • A comprehensive understanding of insured lending programs (i.e., CMHC/Genworth);
  • Proven knowledge of personal and business lending, deposit policies, practices, procedures and general branch operations;
  • A solid understanding of the competitive environment in the financial marketplace, and local communities within the region;
  • Proven social networking skills and an ability to connect with individuals inside and outside the organization;
  • Solid understanding of the Computer-Talk program;
  • Previous call centre experience.
