The Opportunity:


Our Call Centre, which is part or the Corporate Communications team, strives to provide helpful and friendly customer service over the phone; answering questions where possible or ensuring customers are directed to appropriate resources.

You will provide relief coverage on an on-call basis.

This will predominantly be for the Call Centre which works out of City Hall, Monday to Friday 8:00 am -4:30 am ; however, this position could also provide administrative relief to the CAO's directorate.


A few specific duties will include:

  • Guide customers on how to navigate our website
  • Other administrative duties as required

You Bring:


  • Previous customer service experience
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Postsecondary education/training in the administrative field would be an asset
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage stressful situations, providing calm direction and response
  • Strong ability to manage a number of varied tasks and effectively manage a volume of calls and requests while maintaining strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Flexibility in schedule
  • Knowledge of Airdrie would be an asset
