- Successful participation in, and completion of roadway, highway and freeway projects, and/or well multi-modal corridors including median LRT/BRT
- Coordinating designs and providing technical direction to junior design staff
- Collaboration in small and large teams. Integration with other engineering fields, engineers and design staff in the production of high-quality project deliverables
- Production of conceptual design, detailed design, and technical specifications, cost and schedule estimating for new highway, road and road reconstruction projects
- Preparation of reports, and contract documents for review agencies, clients, and the public
- Maintaining contact with sub-consultants, municipalities, utility companies and clients
- Exposure to project planning, development and monitoring of project schedules, and budgets are considered assets but not required.
- 6+ years' experience in design and engineering of transportation infrastructure projects
- Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering
- Ontario . designation required (or eligible)
- Familiarity with geometric design principals (. TAC Geometric Guidelines) and Ontario design standards (. OPSS) and client specific standards and requirements (. MTO)
- MTO and Metrolinx experience are considered assets
- Familiarity with Civil 3D and/or InRoads are considered assets

Who are we looking for?
Our EDO (Engineering Design Organization) is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to tackle the role of Intermediate Highway Engineer
The Transportation Group within GHD Canada works with Provincial, Regional, and local municipal transportation agencies, as well as select contracting partners, on large scale projects across the whole Transportation spectrum of highways, roads and bridges, transit and multi-modal infrastructure, and transportation planning. Our team provides integrated transportation services throughout the project lifecycle from initial policy, transportation economics and business case advice, through concept, environmental assessment, detailed design, construction administration and asset management support.
