Tasks:
  • Addressing customers' complaints or concerns
  • Coaching colleagues on new methods or work techniques
  • Utilizing mountain driving expertise
  • Exhibiting professionalism in customer service
  • Arranging travel, related itineraries and making reservations
  • Loading and unloading goods
  • Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Overseeing the condition of vehicles and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Processing payments and receiving payments for goods
  • Performing brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
  • Conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
  • Performing preventive maintenance tasks
  • Relaying information to central dispatch and recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
