As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our growing Maintenance team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining operation efficiency of production equipment and general plant operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for ensuring the health and safety of others beyond one's own team or functional area (may include responsibility for health and safety of outside visitors or contractors). Responds to crisis situations where the health and safety of others may be at risk.
- Resolve machine problems as they occur
- Perform mechanical maintenance related to repairing heavy industrial equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform Maintenance in accordance with company policy
- Communicate with supervisors daily on issues concerning the department
- Create a team atmosphere
- Conduct safety inspections, maintenance audits and training.
- Assist in installation of new equipment
- Responsible for entering work and part requests into computerized maintenance management system
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Blueprint reading
- Electrical diagram knowledge
- General mechanical knowledge including hydraulic, pneumatic systems.
- Variable speed motor control installation and maintenance
- Ability to solder, braze, rod weld or tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding
- 1 year' experience maintaining industrial machinery and controls
- 1year experience maybe from equivalent technical educational training in a relevant field
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical education training in industrial maintenance, electrical, welding, machine tool and/or HVAC systems.
