    Bayshore is in search of dedicated and caring Full-Time Registered Practical Nurses to become part of our exceptional Greystone Transitional Care Unit team at our Ottawa location.

    Take on a full-time role in an inpatient setting (Transitional Care Unit) with 12-hour shifts, including day and night shifts on alternate weekends.

    Put your clinical expertise to use in an inpatient environment to ensure our clients receive top-notch health care with compassion, excellence, and reliability, all within the comfort and security of their homes.

    As a Registered Practical Nurse at Bayshore, you will work under the guidance of the immediate Supervisor to deliver high-quality nursing care to clients in alignment with the nursing care plan and professional practice standards.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide comprehensive client care through observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health education
    • Ensure clients' emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being according to the care plan and within the scope of practice
    • Execute routine and specialized nursing procedures following company policies and provincial standards

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Enhanced interpersonal skills, ability to manage challenging situations, teamwork proficiency, multitasking capabilities, physical agility, technical proficiency, CPR certification, and more.

    • Observe and document client conditions following professional standards
    • Implement infection prevention measures
    • Engage in continuous education and adhere to quality standards
    • Comply with Bayshore Policies and Procedures
    • Contribute to Health & Safety practices
    • Maintain client confidentiality and follow prescribed protocols
    • Undertake additional tasks as required

    Job Qualification

    Graduation from an accredited Licensed/Registered Practical Nursing Program and current registration with the licensing body.

    Experience:

    Demonstrated clinical competencies, strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, decision-making abilities, and clinical certifications are advantageous.
