CPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill the role of
Inventory Control Coordinator.


Purpose
The
Inventory Control Coordinator ensures the Company has all the required products, materials, equipment, and supplies to operate. They oversee inventory management processes and resolve any issues that arise.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with their Manager and production team members to ensure inventory availability of critical suppliers
  • Determine inventory needs and ensure inventory accuracy meets company targets
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports to include actuals and forecasts
  • Forecast inventory needs based on historical data and provide recommendations to the Production Management team
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure material needs are met
  • Establish new vendor relationships to meet emerging needs
  • Create shipping documents for outbound shipments (part orders & pump orders)
  • Stock transfers of Parts orders in the manufacturing and MRP software (the system)
  • Create Nameplates/tags/pump manuals/ship loose packing slips
  • Print pick tickets and part tags for Parts orders ready to package
  • Print receiving documentation for shop
  • Enter bills of material into the system
  • Create manufacturing orders in the system
  • Process shop labour data in the system
  • Create purchase orders in the system for miscellaneous processes (e.g., paint / packaging / welding) and capture associated costs
  • Coordinate with production team, shop, and other departments as required to ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and promptly
  • Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
  • Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
  • Handle issues arising in shipping and inventory handling

Qualification Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Well organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Proven selfstarter with strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office and other general computer software tools

Education and/or Experience

  • A high school diploma is preferred; a College Diploma or higher education is an asset
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in production or manufacturing/industrial environment is an asset

Physical Demands

  • Ability to remain standing or sitting for periods of time, with ability to perform repetitive motions, using finger, wrists, hands, and/or shoulders
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment where problems occur and workloads are heavy

Work Environment

  • Must wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel toed boots, while working in warehouse
  • Must be aware of and comply with all relevant safety policy and procedures
