Position Overview:

Canoco Energy Services is looking for a diligent Shop Quality Inspector to ensure our products meet quality standards. You'll inspect materials, components, and final products for defects and non-compliance. If you have a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications:

CWB Level 1, working towards Level 2 Certification endorsed in B31.3 and/or CSA W47/59 (preferred)
Previous trade experience (preferred)
2+ years of Quality Control experience (preferred)
Basic understanding of welding, ASME, and CSA codes and practices
Visual acuity and experience with continuity welds
Good computer skills, especially MS Office
Strong time management and organizational skills
Effective communication skills
Selfmotivated and able to work in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment

Responsibilities:

Conduct dimension and visual inspections of welded piping and structural steel
Record welders' symbols, heat numbers, and radiography numbers on drawings and travel sheets
Prepare documentation for and inspect hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests
Complete Quality Control paperwork
Perform material receiving and visual inspections
Ensure welders' qualifications comply with standards
Develop and submit Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for approval
Maintain and update weld and NDE logs
Liaise with NDE contractors for scheduling
Work collaboratively in a fabrication shop with other trades present
Ability to perform work both inside and outside, sometimes in inclement weather

Compensation:

Pay range: $2535/hr
44 hours per week
Overtime expected
