PROFILE SUMMARY


Wesgroup is poised for substantial growth over the next several years and in preparation for this exciting and challenging phase, we are actively seeking a highly engaged, driven and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team.


The Business Intelligence Analyst will play a pivotal role within the Development Analysis team, spearheading initiatives to enhance the data analytics and business intelligence processes for large-scale real estate development and construction projects.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create new processes and systems to coordinate and manage information from development proformas, cashflow forecasts, sales reports, development budgets, and accounting systems.
  • Develop dynamic reports and integrated spreadsheets to identify outliers and trends.
  • Lead efforts to extract, transform, and analyze data for actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive datadriven decisionmaking processes.
  • Create monthly, quarterly reports and ondemand dashboards.
  • Enable realtime access to forecast returns, development metrics, and forecasts for individual development projects and across the entire development and construction pipeline.
  • Provide actionable insight, information, and reporting for senior management to make strategic decisions.
  • Implement the adoption, understanding, and use of new reporting tools across relevant users in the organization and create user documentation and training materials.
  • Support with the creation and management of integrated development proformas and the consistency of development project proforma assumptions across the portfolio by creating the ability to quickly review key project statistics.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years of data analytics and reporting experience in a development and construction related field.
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Real Estate or equivalent experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power BI is a requirement.
  • Understanding and experience within the Greater Vancouver real estate development industry is highly desired.
  • Experience with proforma analysis and cash flow forecasting is desired.
  • Experience and knowledge of Yardi is desired.
  • The ability to challenge existing assumptions, an eye for recognizing trends, and investigating unexplained variances is required.
  • Proven ability to present complex processes, information, and analysis into simple but informative presentations and reports is required.

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

  • The expected salary range for this role is $90,000 $105,000 per annum. Actual offered salary will depend on individual experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
